Horse
shelter and horse stable
The
horse shelter is where the horse will sleep at night
or stay when sick or tired. It is thus a place that should
be comfortable, safe and dry. The shelter is also called the
horse stable. Try to keep the horse shelter or horse
stable as clean and neat as possible. Don't hang all the horse
care equipment and horse shelter cleaning equipment in the
shelter or horse stable to prevent injuries and a mess. Keep
them in a seperate space close to the horse shelter and try
to get horse riding equipment and horse care equipment hooks
to hang them.
It
is essential to have a hay fork, a broom and brush as well
as bucket close by. You also need a horse poop collector.
Give the horse something to graze on in the horse stable or
horse shelter. Hang a net filled with hay in the horse stable
to ensure that it can still graze. Also fit a manger over
the door for feeding. Ensure that you always have a bucket
filled with fresh water for your horse in the stable.
Ensure
that the horse doesn't get bored in the horse shelter by including
horse toys such as a salt lick and balls that hang from the
roof with fruit or molasses treats to lick.
Provide
enough bedding for the horse to lie on in the horse shelter
or the horse stable. If you have an open end horse shelter
the open end should face away from the the most wind.
